Workers Comp Paralegal wanted for small, but busy Norfolk-based PI/Workers Compensation firm practicing in Virginia as well as North Carolina. Preferred experience re assisting in perparing workers compensation cases for settlement or hearing, working within VWC Webfile, scheduling depositions and mediations, answering the phone, doing intakes, calling on bill balances, client ‘hand-holding,’ organizing medical records and timelines, keeping the files up-to-date, and numerous other tasks. We love team players, and people with strong initiative, computer skills, good phone voice/demeanor, and the ability to work independently. Salary commensurate with experience and proven skills. Benefits available after a period of tenure with the firm. Most important experience is some type of injury law work, preferably in litigation. Actual experience with Virginia and/or North Carolina Workers Comp cases is not required, but it will put you at the top of the list for consideration of this position.
